A rescue worker valiantly struggles to free the trapped marketing director.

CHICAGO - At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dillyeo.com marketing director, Andrew Smith became the victim of the most horrific office injury to date at the daily deal site's headquarters as a counter collapsed and left him helpless under the rubble. Coworkers scrambled to assist their colleague but could not dislodge the massive granite slab. Paramedics arrived promptly and eased Smith back into consciousness. Unfortunately for friends and family, the counter is still very much on top of him at the moment.

"Really, it's just a race against the clock now," said Daniel Browne, the head paramedic on the scene. "Will rescue workers be able to free that poor marketing director before he runs out of oxygen down there? We just don't know. We're all praying for him, that's for sure."

"We always knew that office wasn't quite up to code, safety wise," explains close family friend, Rita Bonanno. "I told him over and over again that he should say something about all those loose thumbtacks and whatnot, but I never imagined an accident like this would happen."

A class action lawsuit may be in order against Dillyeo.com, which is known to offer some very affordable products for customers, but may have cut one too many corners here. "I knew those braces wouldn't hold," claims coworker Patrick Hesterman. The builder of the counter has not yet been available for commenting.
